As you make your way up the track to Osdale, you can't help but be awed by Macleod's Tables that provide the perfect backdrop to this highland retreat. The location is stunning - utterly peaceful with far-reaching views spanning from Dunvegan over towards the Cuillin. Your only neighbours are the grazing sheep, occassional cattle and Osdale Farmhouse 80 metres further up the track.  If you are looking for your own private spot on Skye, you've just found it.

The Byre is a spacious, open plan converted barn with flexible accommodation for up to 4 people and 3 dogs. With a double-height living room and huge windows you'll enjoy the sense of space and light that it offers. The interiors are warm and welcoming - a real home from home with everything you need to make the best of your time here. A fully equipped kitchen, a living room full of books and maps, comfy sofas, throws and cushions and beds that guarantee a good nights sleep. 

It's practical too. The large boot room is perfect for drying your walking boots and wet weather gear. Underfloor heating keeps everyone warm and toastie while the tiled floors make it easy to keep the space clean. The two bedrooms can be made up as super kings or twins to suit your needs so it's perfect for couples, friends and families. 

Osdale is also very dog-friendly. Your dogs will enjoy their own outdoor space at the rear of the Byre while from the front they can discover the large area that's shared with Osdale Farmhouse. We provide a MudDaddy, dog bowl, tracking lead, poo bags, throws for the sofas and dog beds too if you can't squeeze one in the car.

While Osdale is the perfect escape it's only a few miles from Dunvegan and well located for many of Skyes well-known destinations. Neist Point, Coral Beach, Dunvegan Castle and the Fairy Pools are all within a 45 minute drive.  But if you want to discover other fabulous places where you may not see another soul we have lots of suggestions in our digital guidebook.

Several highly acclaimmed restaurants are nearby including The Three Chimneys, Loch Bay and Edinbane Lodge. Osdale Byre and the Farmhouse can be booked together for a group of eight. In high season (mid-may to end September) we accept weekly bookings. At all other times we accept shorter stays of 3+ days.
