Railway Cottage is nestled in beautiful countryside close to the old Dundee to Newtyle Railway lines which ceased functioning in 1963. It is a peaceful and private location situated within half a mile walking distance from Newtyle village and 12 miles drive from Dundee city centre. Also, it is within easy reach to the Cairngorm National Park, the stunning Angus Glens, local golf courses and beautiful east coast beaches.

Railway Cottage was traditionally a farm workers’ cottage on our family farm until 2018 when it was completely renovated specifically for a holiday let. The cottage has a spacious open plan kitchen/living area with 3 bedrooms (1 ensuite) and can sleep up to 6 people. The main bathroom has a large, easy access shower cubicle. The kitchen is well equipped. Extras include a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, iron/ironing board, airer, hairdryer, maps, games, BBQ and outdoor seating. All tea towels, cloths and cleaning materials are supplied.

After a day of exploring enjoy coming home to a cosy log burning stove and comfortable living space. The cottage is well equipped for cooking up a storm with locally sourced produce or there are a good choice of pubs and restaurants in the local area to suit all tastes. Alternatively stay home for a day and enjoy the peace and quiet, read a book, play a board game and enjoy the relaxation time. The spacious garden is perfect for enjoying the weather or playing a family game. The garden is fully enclosed so you can relax while the children or dogs play.

3 comfortable bedrooms with field views and blackout blinds for a good nights rest. All duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic and large bath towels and hand towels provided. The spacious garden is safe for children and has a picnic table and BBQ. Well behaved pets are welcome to the cottage, there is a spacious indoor kennel area with a covered run attached to the storage shed or they are welcome to stay inside the main living areas of the cottage. There is a secure storage shed for bikes and outdoor equipment as well as an outdoor tap and hose for washing bikes and muddy shoes.
