Highlands

  • Committed to Quality

Located in the village of Ballachulish, close to Glencoe, the self catering holiday cottages are at a natural crossroads in the West Highlands. Go North to Fort William, Ben Nevis and Loch Ness; South to Oban and Inveraray; West to Ardnmurchan and visit the lighthouse on the Atlantic coast; or East to Glencoe, Kinlochleven, and Rannoch Moor. The hills of Glencoe give some of the best hiking, scrambling and climbing in Scotland. Skiing at Glencoe can be magnificent and the chairlift is now open in the summer too. Straight from the door of the cottage is one of the best ridge walks in the country - Beinn a Bheithir with its three peaks above 3000 feet - from which the Isle of Skye, Mull and many of the islands on Loch Linnhe can be clearly seen. The cottages provide ACCO for up to four guests in two bedrooms. Fully equipped and well presented, they are in a central location in the village. Overlooking the shinty pitch, with views out to the Callart Hills, the post office, co-op and local pub are all within a couple of minutes walk. Local paths through Brecklet woods and the old slate quarry, or along the foreshore on Loch Leven almost start at the door. The hire cost includes all bedlinen, towels, heating and electricity used. An advance order grocery delivery service is also available.
