A rural retreat looking down on the shores of Loch Awe. The munro of Ben Cruachan which can be climbed for some amazing views or enter the hollow mountain to see the hydro scheme. Amazing local boat trips around the Islands and to see the third largest whirlpool in the world or just to go sea fishing. There are also local pony trekking centres and a water sports centre for sailing lessons and boat hire. The farm house is located in privacy in the middle of a hill farming estate but a short drive to the coast and ports to visit the islands by ferry. We also have fishing for wild brown trout on over 22 hill lochs and pike/perch fishing on Loch Ederline with boats. You can hire out kayaks and bikes from us which can be used to explore the estate which is over 13,000 acres. A perfect holiday house for two families or a family who just like space. The farm house is situated in a stunning, elevated position looking over Loch Awe and is completely secluded with no neighbours! You enter into the property via a private courtyard with outside kennels and outbuildings to store bikes, roof boxes etc. The enclosed court yard is to the back of the property which is a real sun trap and is protected on all sides. To the front of the property is large garden which is bordered by a dry stone wall with far reaching views across the loch which can be enjoyed with a barbecue and teak garden furniture. In the farmhouse there are five large double bedrooms and four bathrooms which two downstairs are en-suite. All have large separate walk in Aqualisa showers and two also have baths. The rooms upstairs are all off one landing where there are three large bedrooms, two twin/super-king bedrooms and one king-sized bedroom. All the bedrooms have fitted cupboards, hair dryers, dressing tables, handmade bedheads, side tables and electric blankets. There are two separate washrooms upstairs, one is a large family bathroom with a walk in separate shower and bath, the other is a shower room which has a large walk in shower. Both have wash hand basins and WC. Downstairs there are two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom/shower rooms. One is a king sized bedroom and the other can be super-king or twin. You can enjoy cooking in a well equipped kitchen with ceramic hob and two ovens, dishwasher, large larder fridge and microwave with far reaching views over the loch. Settle back and relax in the separate dining room with seating for ten with windows looking down to the loch. This room has a log burner, breakfast bar and glass fronted cupboards which has display lighting. The main sitting room has a log burner with great views looking down to the loch and into the private court yard, fully equipped with a smart flat screen TV,DVD and Wifi. For more entertainment try the spacious Play Room which has its own ping pong table, smart flat screen TV, DVD, Wifi, well stocked games cupboard and log burner. There is a downstairs WC and a Utility room which houses a washing machine, separate tumble dryer, large upright freezer, plenty of storage cupboards and a pulley for drying.
