Inner Hebrides

  • Committed to Quality

Sixteen farmhouses/cottages located all over this peaceful unspoilt island. Also five luxury apartments in Colonsay House, a pretty Georgian house located in a famous rhododendron garden, and a Backpackers Lodge. Colonsay boasts stunning scenery, miles of sandy beaches, a huge number of species of birds, as well as seals and otters. Colonsay is a favourite destination for families and couples, you will not be disappointed! There is SO much to do and see. Colonsay has brilliant festivals: Literary in April, SpringFest in May, Folk Festival in September and Food and foraging in October (also packed with children\'s activities in the half term). Ceilidhs in the summer and Easter, and surfing, cycling, golf and fishing all year round. There is an award-winning small hotel with a lively pub (serving Colonsay beer) and excellent restaurant. Colonsay has a fully stocked general store, a bookshop, a microbrewery, craft shops, a gallery, a bakery/café, famous woodland and rhododendron gardens with a delightful café serving home baking and delicious lunches, and a Heritage centre. At low tide, you can visit Oransay which has some of the best examples of 15th century carved Celtic tombstones in Scotland. All our properties are comfortably furnished, most with spectacular sea views and open fires. We allow dogs in all our cottages (not the apartments). Contact the office for any queries or holiday advice. Wellies? Tide times? Our team is here to help.
