No.7 Sandhead is the perfect coastal cottage for either couples or families. It is in a quiet street in Sandhead with views over the bowling green and only a 2 minute stroll from 7 miles of sandy beach, pub, restaurant serving good food and a well stocked village shop - you could spend your whole holiday without turning a wheel! Within a short drive there are plenty of local attractions, Mull of Galloway, the most southernly point in Scotland with it\'s lighthouse(open to the public to climb in Summer), RSPB reserve and Gallie Craig Tearoom and location for The Vanishing, starring Gerard Butler and the start of the Mull of Galloway Trail Coastal walk There are a variety of gardens open to the public including Logan Botanic Gardens with it's amazing array of exotic plants. You are only 10 minutes drive from the picturesque small fishing village of Portpatrick with its variety of pubs and restaurants, many of which serve food all day, a putting green and you can charter a boat here for fishing or sightseeing, it is also the start of the Southern Upland Way, a clifftop walk with amazing views There are 3 golf courses all within a 10 minute drive You could sail to either Belfast or Larne from Cairnryan. Within a 40 minute drive there is Laggan Outdoor (longest Zipwire in the UK), Cream of Galloway (adventure park with its own ice cream factory - offers guided tours)and Twynholm Chocolate Factory - For the adults Crafty Distillery at Newton Stewart - Gin Tour
