This is an ideal base from which to explore the islands of Cumbrae, Bute and Arran or to go further afield to Argyll or the Trossachs, Loch Lomond or the South West of Scotland, or you can simply walk up the hill for the most spectacular views of the Firth of Clyde or play tennis on the private court. The Bell Loft was completely renovated in 2008 to form a luxurious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat with a living/dining/kitchen room, This has proved to be most successful as it gives maximum flexibility for either families, couples or groups of friends. The bedrooms can either be twins or super kings and there is a single sofa bed in the living room. The furniture is traditional and some antique, with beautiful furnishings throughout, it is a really comfortable place to stay. The beds, along with the 'west coast air' usually deliver a good night of restful sleep. All the linen, towels and electricity are included in the price. Both bathrooms have baths, one with a shower over and the other a separate shower. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with masses of crockery and glasses so that if you join up with the East Wing, there is more than enough. The dining table extends to fit 8 people. The views from the Bell Loft are of the Glen and over what used to be the kitchen garden but is now a simpler affair with some flowers and fruit. Rhodedendrons and azaleas abound in the Spring. Outside space is wonderful with different places to sit and enjoy!
