Our family have now lived at Noddsdale for over 90 years. We are third generation and enjoying being able to share this special place with people from all over the world, many of whom come back for more! My husband was in the Army for many years and we moved on a regular basis for the first 14 years of our marriage. However, we have now been based here for over 20 years and can't believe we have been so fortunate. There is always something to be done - either in and around the different houses or in the gardens and grounds, so we are kept busy. We usually manage to source our flowers from the garden to display in the properties and grow some soft fruit, which if you are lucky and come at the right time of year, we might be able to share! (If the birds haven't got there first that is!)
We love meeting everyone who comes to stay here and where we can, like to help with local knowledge. Our own family live elsewhere, but love coming back home whenever they can.
We do a fair bit of volunteering in the local and wider community. I enjoy singing in choirs and Chris curls in the winter months.
My parents still live in the main house and my mother, more often than not, meets and greets our guests in the East Wing and Bell Loft. We live in a cottage not far away and are almost always 'up at the house' at some point during the day!
Do come and stay here - it is like a breath of fresh air and the view isn't bad either!
