On the UK’s largest freshwater loch you can enjoy a variety of boat cruises for an hour or more, from a range of different locations. You can also hire boats, or try water-skiing, canoeing or kayaking. From April each year there is a waterbus to take you to your destination.
In the forests, woodlands and trails of the National Park you can walk to stunning viewpoints, enjoy natural attractions such as the Falls of Falloch, and see wildlife from red deer to golden eagles. It’s also mountain biking heaven, with many miles of forest track to explore, from easy rides on flat paths to exciting mountain trails. The West Loch Lomond cycle path is 16.5 miles and stretches from all the way up the western side of the loch between Balloch and Tarbet. There are, of course, many interesting golf courses, but there are also zip wire rides, bushcraft courses and clay pigeon shooting.
