Eildon Melrose is a collection of holiday cottages and luxury log cabins set in the most stunningly beautiful setting at the foot of the Eildon Hills in Melrose.

Our traditional hand-crafted log cabins with wood-fired hot tubs have to be seen to be believed! Every part of these eco-friendly cabins is bespoke and every part is unique. Expect luxurious interiors with huge log walls and a large glass frontage with panoramic views of the Eildon Hills. The perfect place for a getaway with friends or family or a romantic retreat for couples, there is a 10-15% discount for 2 person occupancy. Our first log cabin, Reiver's Hideaway, won Best Green Holiday Home at the European Holiday Home awards in 2021.

The cosy cottages are built from traditional Scottish stone and are bright and airy inside. Large windows give the cottages great views across the river Tweed valley and also allow guests to watch the local wildlife right outside. Five of the cottages are wheelchair accessible which is ideal for anyone with reduced mobility.

All our properties are in a secluded farm location but less than half a mile from the centre of Melrose which is a small but historic market town with lots of independant shops cafes and restaurants.

There is lots to see and do in the local area and Melrose plays host to several large events throughout the year including the world famous Melrose Rugby Sevens tournament, the Borders Book Festival and the Scottish Bagpipe Championships to name a few.

There is world-class salmon fishing and mountain biking in the valley as well as endless walking routes. The St Cuthbert's Way passes us four hundred metres to the east and there are plenty of dog friendly paths on the doorstep for guests who bring their fury friends (all properties welcome well behaved dogs over 1 year old).

With a rich history, there's lots of castles and stately homes to explore locally, many of which also have fabulous gardens and cafes. Abbotsford House, former home of Sir Walter Scott, is less than 10mins drive away and Melrose Abbey, where the heart of Robert the Bruce is buried, is less than a mile away.

There is detailed information and photos of all our holiday rentals on our website plus a handy guide to the local area to help you plan your perfect Scottish holiday.
