A romantic self catering holiday cottage for 2. It has a delightful beamed living room with a super comfy sofa beside the wood burning stove and smart TV. French - windows lead out to the south facing decked garden with charcoal bar b q and recliners and swing seats. Well equipped galley kitchen with dining table. Bath room with overhead shower and luxury Italian bathroom products. I normally shop local but on this occasion Italy won! Spiral stairs wind through the wooden beams to the sunny bed room, with a king-size new divan bed, french windows and small balcony. Enjoy the sun rising and huge starry skies and admire the beautiful views across rolling farmland to the Cheviot Hills on the horizon. You really won\'t want to get out of bed....but there again there are lots of places to visit. Plum Tree Cottage is perfect getaway for two and is so cosy as it is heated by biomass heating and always an abundance of hot water and a wood burner, perfect for winter breaks. The galley kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dining table adjacent to the small sitting room which has a comfortable sofa, wood burner, smart TV and French windows out to the south facing patio with lovely swing seats and recliners, table and chairs. Bathroom with over bath shower. Spiral stairs wind their way up through the beams to the bedroom with a new super comfortable divan king-size bed and another set of French windows and two chairs where you can relax and enjoy refreshments and take in the splendid view morning, noon or night. Outside the cottage has a sheltered south facing patio area with lush countryside views where you can soak up the sunshine in summertime and dine alfresco. Also outdoors is a grassy area where you can sunbathe or enjoy a picnic. A charcoal BBQ is available for summer use too. Kelso is a bustling market town with a farmer’s market, Kelso Abbey, Floors Castle (the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland), lovely shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, walks, parks, ice cream shop and takeaways. Meals can be delivered if you would like to relax and take a break from cooking during your stay. There is a tennis court on the farm (tennis coaching available), lovely walks beside the River Eden, where you will see our organic sheep grazing and spot otter, kingfisher, swans and deer in the woodland. On the farm we grow organic oats and flowers which are available to buy in our farm shop along with fresh eggs and other produce. Nestled on in the countryside of the Scottish Borders on an organic farm country views, this is a great place to spend quality time with your loved ones on holiday in the idyllic Scottish countryside. Although rural and tranquil, there is plenty to see and do not too far away with the market town of Kelso just 3 miles away, Floors Castle a short drive away, Northumberland National Park a mere 12 miles away and Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh just 45 miles away.
