Kingdom of Fife
The Kingdom of Fife is bounded on three sides by the North Sea and the Firth of Forth, and includes the historical towns of St. Andrews and Dunfermline, the historical capital of Scotland, and the charming East Neuk fishing villages. Just 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, you can choose a variety of self-catering cottages and holiday homes. Whether on the doorstep of world-famous St. Andrews Old Course, or in a 17th century fisherman’s cottage in one of the many coastal villages, your holiday will be a special one.
Golf

St Andrews is best known as the “home of golf”. The Old Course and
the six other Links Trust courses in the vicinity along with the medieval town architecture are the great attraction of the town. St Andrews has royal connections too, with its cathedral founded in 1160 being the religious capital of Scotland for many centuries. St Andrews Castle was the scene of religious battles and persecution; visitors can still explore the siege tunnels dug by both attackers and defenders. St Andrews University is Scotland’s oldest university and was founded in 1413.

East Neuk villages are known for whitewashed buildings, with red pantiled roofs that overlook cobbled streets leading to secluded fishing harbours.

So whatever holiday you want - family days on the beach, exploring historic sites, shopping and browsing in ancient towns and villages, watching wildlife, enjoying the sea or, of course, playing golf – The Kingdom of Fife has it all.
