Tigh Gorm sits in a unique location overlooking the harbour in Tarbert, the main village on Harris. It is conveniently located for touring the stunning beaches and other attractions of Harris and Lewis, whether by car or public transport. The amenities of the village - places to eat, shops, bank, Post Office, swimming pool - are all within walking distance. There is free parking on the road outside, and there is a private garden/deck area where bikes may be parked.
The house has two floors: the upper floor has access from Main Street and consists of a bright open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area and shower-room off. The lower floor consists of a spacious bedroom with king-size bed and an en-suite shower-room. There is a door opening onto a sun-trap deck and small garden. Please note there is a spiral staircase between floors.
The house is warm and freshly decorated in seaside colours and is equipped to a high standard including washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, hairdrier, CD player/Ipod dock and Sky TV. All linen is supplied - cotton bedding, large fluffy towels, bathrobes, beach towels and kitchen towels. Complimentary wine, toiletries, tea, coffee milk, sugar and eggs are also provided. Please let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion.
Short breaks of 3 nights or more are available except mid-June to mid-September. Sorry, no pets or children. Strictly no smoking in the house.

Returning visitors may remember Tigh Gorm as The Harris Tweed Shop. The building was gutted and renovated in 2013 to make this comfortable home from home.
