The Puffer is a ground floor apartment near to Sound of Mull in Old Blacksmiths House and Smiddy. It has a king sized bed which converts into twins and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Seals and sometimes otters can usually be seen close by. The village of Salen is more or less in the centre of the island mid-way between Craignure and Tobermory, which means it has the great advantage of being able to set off exploring in several different directions, without going over the same ground twice, a fact that the legendary Edwardian Baddiley\'s guide, aimed largely at cyclists, noted over 80 years ago. It still applies to-day, more so perhaps as each year more cyclists come to our Island
