Sheila and Iain Weir founded the park in the 1960's. From one small letting caravan which proved extremely popular they built up the business to incorporate Lodges and cottages and a former railway station and grounds. In 1996 myself and my husband Jim moved back home to run the business for Jim's parents. We have a little bit of help from our own two sons Callum and Ewan but as they get older the help decreases!
JIm maintains the grounds and if anything breaks he fixes it - or tries to. The office is left pretty much to myself and also the weekend cleaning - though Jim has turned into a bit of a cleaner himself to help me out when busy and we have regular part timers who we have had for years.
We hope you try Appin it is a stunning area and always surprises people when they first arrive. Most of our business is from repeat customers or recommendations which is fantastic as you get to know people over a number of years and some have watched our little family grow up.
