Welcome to Appletree, a newly built cottage specially designed for the self-catering holiday maker. Accommodating up to eight people it features a large, spacious living space with wood burning stove and large picture windows looking southwards across open countryside. The cosy bedrooms are all ensuite (3 with shower, 1 with bath & shower, underfloor heated).
Wheelchair users should find easy access to the living space and ground floor bedroom.
Set in its own lawned gardens the cottage has a private patio accessible through a large sliding door from the living space.
The cottage is highly insulated with heating and hot water provided by the farm log boiler using local sustainably sourced wood to provide a beautifully warm, comfortable home away from home.

Surrounded by a small apple farm the property is on the John Muir Way and Sustrans Cycle Route 7 with many great walks nearby and quite single track roads to explore by bike (cycle hire nearby)

In addition there is nearby Golf, Fishing, Riding, Swimming (local spa) Boating, Pleasure cruising, Canoeing, Mountaineering.

Linen, towels and complimentary toiletries are provided
A car is recommended.

We returned to Scotland from London in late 2013, partially renovated the semi derelict buildings of Shandon Farm and brought the farmhouse back into use.
Since then we've planted an apple orchard of 170 trees which should start to produce good fruit in a year or so.
We commenced the building of Appletree Cottage in late 2015 especially for self catering holiday lets.
We've tried to supply all mod cons and make the property as comfortable as possible to our guests.

We chose Croftamie not only for its friendliness, beautiful countryside and many available outdoor pursuits but also the ease of access by car to some of Scotland's central cities (Glasgow and Stirling approx 30 mins drive and Edinburgh 1hr 15 mins)

There is also the option of leaving the car and taking the train to Edinburgh or Glasgow from Milngavie Station (20 mins drive) which saves on city centre driving and parking.

We also have great access to Loch Lomond and Helensburgh (about 30 minutes)
