We live in Aboyne a charming village on the River Dee, set in the magnificent back drop of Royal Deeside and lies at the edge of the Cairngorms mountains. My family and I have lived here for nearly 17 years, moving from the Oxford area. We have a dog called Lucy, hens, a cat and a horse called Harry.
My interests are interior design and Antiques and love the outdoors and Highland life.
Aboyne village has a varied selection of shops, a fantastic butcher, supermarket and general store will serve all your catering requirements. The large village green is the venue of the annual Highland games and also the focus of the Aboyne and Deeside Festival held every July. There are some great restaurants and places for lunch too, so you can always spoil yourself and eat out. 10 min walk to the local pub.
We are tucked away on the outskirts of Aboyne on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the location is famous for its micro climate and often on the national news for both the warmest and the coldest place in the UK.
A great place to explore Deeside and Aberdeenshire.
