Travelling by Bus

Buses are the most frequently used mode of public transport in Scotland.  Scotland has extensive bus services throughout the country. Both long-distance and local services are available with a variety of bus transportation companies.

Long distance services are an inexpensive way of travelling between larger cities and towns. There are several carriers who operate these services. Two of the main ones are Scottish Citylink and Stagecoach.

Local Bus Services have many operators. It is recommended that you check with the local visitor information center concerning bus timetables. Traveline and Transport Direct can also be a great help with planning.

Scotland offers a wide variety of transportation options for you to reach your self-catering holiday accommodation.
